Seismic activity in Việt Nam

An earthquake catalogue for Việt Nam up to 2007 has been established on the basis of different data sources: Hà Nội Institute of Geophysics, ISC, NEIC and NOAA by the CATAL Program. The results has been showing that this is the most sufficient catalogue for Việt Nam up to 2007, but it still needs to be discussed and updated, particularly the events recorded in historical documents.

The seismic gap and unsound activity have been manifested in seismic activities in the Vietnamese territory.
