SUMMARY

Dividing groups of explored deposits and proposing the exploration network for titane placers in Pleistocene sediments.

Nguyễn Văn Lâm, Đỗ Cảnh Dương, Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thảo

Titane placers in Pleistocene sediments are widely distributed along the Vietnamese coast and have a bigger scale in comparing with Holocene titane placers, however, the content of total of useful minerals (such as ilmenite, rutile, leucoxene, zircon, monazite, xenotime) is not high. Due to this resource was discovered only in 2005, the documents on study, exploration and exploitation of titane placers in Pleistocene sediments are still limited. Based on collected and analyzed geological materials and explored results during recent time, the authors propose the exploration deposit grouping and the exploration network in order to increase the quality of exploration works of titane placers in Pleistocene sediments.
