Technological characteristics of titanium-zircon ores in red sand formation
and practicable project of their exploitation and processing

Newest results of basic geological survey on placer resources have been affirming that red sands of the Phan Thiết Formation have very large potential in titanium-zircon placer ores. However, these red sand beds contain a quantity of silt and clay approximately of 10% and are cemented together in a fixed degree. Can this characteristic influence to the exploitation, separation and processing of the concentrate ore? The results of mining, test of production of placer ores from red sand beds and the reference of procedures of exploitation and separation of ore minerals of some businesses have been letting see that if we have a rational production procedure with advanced equipments, the exploitation and processing of titanium-zircon pure ores are completely practicable and reach high economic efficiency.
