New discovery of a band of iron, lead-zinc and wolfram in Thượng Giáp area, Tuyên Quang Province

The survey on aeromagnetic anomalies in the Thượng Giáp area, Tuyên Quang Province, has been carried out in two steps. In the first step, the ground magnetic method was applied to survey on the overall area, combined with geological field survey. The results helped to determine on the field 6 groups of aeromagnetic anomalies and to discover 9 new groups of magnetic anomalies, to determine 13 groups of magnetic anomalies that are prospect areas of mineral resouces. In the second step, the detailed survey on 4 zones by complex of geophysical methods was realized, combined with geological methods, digging, drilling and sample analysis. The results allowed us to clarify prospect mineralization zones and ore bodies, to forecast resources of Fe, Pb-Zn and W ore bands. Two occurrences of Pb-Zn ores were newly discovered, a band of iron ores extending in 10 km was determined, objects containing W, Au mineralizations, especially Au mineralization of large scale, were found.
