SUMMARY

Effect of applying the high resolution shallow seismic system to survey on shallow sea

Nguyễn Đình Nguyên, Phạm Nguyễn Hà Vũ, Phan Thanh Tùng

The high resolution shallow seismic system is usually applied in the research on structural geology near the surface of shallow sea (up to hundred meters in depth). Studied objects of shallow geology are mainly geological formations lying in the upper part of geological sections, at the depth of hundred meters beneath the sea floor for exploring minerals, realizing works of geological engineering, .... The high resolution shallow seismic system generates high frequency acoustic signals (hundreds to thousands Hz) and continuously records reflection of signals, with horizontal resolution of up to 3-5 m and vertical resolution up to 0,5-1 m.
