In the Quỳ Hợp area, Nghệ An Province, there are many diverse and complex tin ore manifestations, with the deposits and ore occurrences Suối Bắc, Suối Mai, Bản Nát, Piêng Căm, Bản Ngọc, Pan Lom - Ca Đoi, … among them the explored Suối Bắc and Suối Mai deposits show that they are of industrial scale. The structure of the Suối Bắc and Suối Mai deposits consists of two rather integrated synclines, formed in quartz-sericite-graphite schist of the middle part of Sông Cả Formation (O3-S1 sc), containing pseudostratiform primary tin ores. Ore bodies have various forms of veins, vein zones, nests, lenses that usually complexely change. The mineral composition of ores consists of casssiterite, pyrite and arsenopyrite, besides, there still are chalcopyrite, bismuth, rutil, gold, ... belonging to the quartz-cassiterite formation.
