Placer ores in the coastal zone of North Trung Bộ have the main composition of titanium, zircon and monazite ores. Ore bodies are distributed in mixed marine-eolian Middle, Upper Holocene and Upper Pleistocene formations, lying in the relief of coastal sand dunes, sand beach and old sea-shore lines. Based on the results of realization of the Project “Investigation and evaluation on the prospect of coastal placer from Thanh Hóa to Thừa Thiên Huế Provinces”, this article presents the features of material composition and distributive laws of titanium placer ores in the coastal zone of North Trung Bộ.
