Composition of gold ores in the Đa Krông - A Lưới area,
Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên Huế Provinces

In the Đa Krông - A Lưới area (Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên Huế Provinces), over 20 gold deposits and occurrences have been recently found. Their distribution form the following ore fields: A Pey - A Dang, Nhâm, Phú Vinh - Cầu Ba, A Vao - Ba Ngày and Tà Rẹc - South Làng Vây. In these areas, gold ores belong to the quartz-sulphide-gold deposit type lying in greenschist metamorphic rocks with 3 ore types: quartz-gold, quartz-pyrite-pyrrhotine-gold and quartz-polymetallic sulphide-gold ones, among them the two last ore types are of better insdustrial prospect.
