The atlas of structure and texture of metamorphic rocks in Việt Nam is a work serving directly scientific researches and education in research institutes, geological divisions and specialized universities as well.

The classification of metamorphic rocks is a great problem, however in the present world there still is not a unified division of metamorphic processes and metamorphic rocks.

On the basis of either factor or other one and the available collection of samples in Việt Nam, metamorphic rocks in Việt Nam can be divided into 5 main groups as follows:

1. Group of regional thermodynamic metamorphic rocks (56 photos)
2. Group of ultrametamorphic rocks (15 photos)
3. Group of thermal contract metamorphic rocks (12 photos)
4. Group of dynamic metamorphic rocks (8 photos)
5. Group of hydrothermal metamorphic rocks (40 photos)

The atlas is presented in 95 pages with 131 photos illustrating different structures and textures of popular rocks in Việt Nam accompanied by explanations.
