Abstract: Basing on
seismic data collected in different sources, the authors of this article have been
establishing the Catalogue of earthquakes on the Vietnamese territory and
adjacent regions during the period 1137-2008, including 817 earthquakes with
the magnitude M ³ 3.5. Basing on this catalogue,
the authors have been carrying the examination on features of seismic
manifestations and the study and comparison of seismic focus distribution and
zoning of Earth’s crust structure of the studied areas. The analysis and synthesis
of seismic and tectonic data have been allow them to evaluate the seismogenous
ability of the studied area.
