PREDICTIVE POTENTIAL DANGER ZONING OF KARSTIC SUBSIDENCE IN CAM LỘ DISTRICT, QUẢNG TRỊ PROVINCE AND PROPOSALS OF APPROPRIATE MANAGING AND PREVENTING SOLUTIONS

Abstract. Covered-subsidence sinkhole and covered-collapse sinkhole are common geohazards over the strongly dissoluble and karstified carbonate terrain underlying the soft cover of Cam Lộ, Quảng Trị Province. In this paper, we would like to give an overview of karstic subsidence reality occurring in several areas and furthermore, to establish and present the predictive potential danger zoning map of karstic subsidence. Several appropriate mitigations of the negative affects of such geohazards are also mentioned.
