ESTABLISHING A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION ON THE VIETNAMESE TERRITORY AND ADJACENT REGIONS BY ZONING OF EARTH’S CRUST TYPES

Abstract: Applying the method of zoning of Earth’s crust types in accordance to an association of geological, geophysical and seismic materials, the authors have been establishing a new algorithm with detailed calculating steps and a new appropriate mathematical linguistics, allowing them to establish a new program, supporting classical calculation programs and methods which have been and are using in Việt Nam, in order to solve the problem of forecasting effectively and precisely maximal earthquakes (Mmax). The experimental application of this program on the Vietnamese territory and adjacent areas has been subdividing the studied area into 296 groups of Earth’s crust types, characterizing 296 types of association of their characteristic parameters.
