SUMMARY

Applying the microgravitational method in the study on the Sơn La fault zone
at Tuần Giáo earthquake hypocenter

In this article the authors have been applying the method system of combinative analysis of the regional gravity and microgravitational data to study on the structure of the Sơn La fault zone at the Tuần Giáo Earthquake (1983, Ms = 6.7)  hypocenter. The results show that:

1/ The Sơn La fault plane has the dip of 67o plunging northeastward;

2/ The width of the fault zone has been estimated as about 11 km.

3/ The width of activity zone of the Sơn La fault is about 21 km.

4/ The fractionation plane of the Tuần Giáo earthquake (1983, Ms = 6.7) hypocenter has the dip of  80o plunging northeastward.

The presented analytic process in this article has been proving effective in the study on the fault structure. The method can be applied in the study on fault structure of different destruction levels.
