SUMMARY

Water resources of the Kon Tum Province

This paper sets forth a preliminary assessment on the water resource storage in the Kon Tum Province. The results are summarized as follows: rainfall water resource - 39840.10⁶ m³/year, surface water resources - 9111.10⁶ m³/year, groundwater resource - 3135254 m³/day. Planning, integrated use of water resources: water for domestic consumption - 9.59.10⁶ m³/year, water for industrial use - 410.10⁶ m³/year, water for irrigation - 470.10⁶ m³/year from the viewpoint of sustainable use of water resources. The aspects of technical sustainability consists of the balance between demand and supply, mining of five balance water zones in Kon Tum Province.
