High resolution seismic method (DCNPGC) is one of the key tools in resarch marine geology and mineral resources general and in Geoengineering in Particular. The application of this method in studying and evaluating geological and geo engineering characteristics of the coastal zone off Vũng Tàu and adjacent area has obtained more reliable results in the region. The results of the DCNPGC have allowed us to sudivided the shallow geological formations of the region into 04 sequences correspond Holocen (Q2); Late Pleistocen (Q13); Middle Pleistocen (Q12); Early Pleistocen (Q11) and define boundary small of Q2 and Q13; Besides combining the High Resolution Seismic document with the geoengineering document and the result analyzing physical-sample has subdivided the layer according to the geoengineering characteristics include: amQ23 is flow state, weak link, poorly load capacity; mQ21-2 is flow state, weak link, poorly load capacity; mQ13b is semi-hard state, hard plastics, medium link, average load capacity; amQ13b is medium tight state, medium link, average load capacity; amQ13b is hard plaslic state-hair hard, medium link, average load capacity; amQ13a is hard plastic state-half hard, medium link, average load capacity; amQ12 is hard plastic state-half hard, medium link, average load capacity. In addtion, the detection of the fault, the shallow gas pockets hidden risks.
