Some results of new investigations on magnesite ore in Kon Queng area, Gia Lai

Magnesite ore (MgCO₃) was discovered in Kon Queng area in the first years of the 21th century. Since then many projects and research works have been published. Especially in recent time, the reports on the results of exploration and mineral investigation and assessment projects carried out in this area have elucidate clearer the scale, morphology of ore bodies, distribution law, material composition, genesis as well as established the tectonic circumstance which formed this largest magnesite ore bearing area in Southeast Asia. This paper introduces the results of latest investigations on magnesite ore in Kon Queng area, Gia Lai Province.
