Some important types of uranium deposits in Việt Nam

The results of research,
prospecting and exploration in the past period of time have confirmed that in
Việt Nam may be present 10 of 14 types of uranium deposits established in
the IAEA classification. Among the uranium deposits discovered, those of
sandstone type in Nông
Sơn Basin
have been acknowledged as the most promising. In the mean time, the results of
preliminary studies also show prerequisites and evidences of the occurrence of
unconformity-related uranium deposit type in the area of Kon Tum Masiff. On the
basis of amalgamating the data from the studies carried out by the authors and
those of other Vietnamese geoscientists in many years past, this
article overviews the types of promising uranium deposits in the territory of Vietnam and serves as the basis for
orienting the next steps of research therein.
