A
new approach in measurement of the vertical velocities of the Earth’s crust
movement is based on the high-precise gravity repeated measurements. In this
article, the authors present some new results about the vertical velocity
movement of the Tam Đảo Mt, Highway N0
6, Hồ Chí Minh City and Sơn La Hydro-power Reservoir on the
basis of the repeated gravity measurements. The obtained results have shown
that:
1/ The new precise gravity meter can be
used in the repeated measurement for determining the velocities of the vertical
movement of the Earth’s crust with high accuracy.
2/ The gravity precise measurement can be
connected with the GPS observation for studying the Earth’s crust movement.
This is a perfect combination for studying the present geodynamics. The repeated
gravity measurement allows us to determine the vertical movement with the precision
less than 1 mm. Meanwhile, the GPS data give us the detailed values of
direction and velocity of horizontal movement.
