Seismicity and characteristics of
earthquakes in the
(period 1903-2011)

Based
on seismic data, collected from different sources, the Earthquake catalogue for
West Bắc Bộ region (period 1903-2011) has been established,
composed of 1097 earthquakes with magnitude M ³ 2.0. Basing on
this catalogue, the authors have examined and analyzed the characteristics of
earthquake manifestations and
compared them with the distribution characteristics of active
faults in the studied region. Integrated analysis of seismic and tectonic data
allows us to evaluate seismogenic possibility in the studied region.
