The distribution characteristics of cadmium and its pollution risk in Hà Tây (former) area

The results of Cd content analysis in 109 soil, 65 surface water and 155 groundwater samples collected in Hà Tây (former) area show that the cadmium content in these samples varies from 0.052 to 1.482 ppm (soils), 0.005 to 139.061 µg/l (surface water) and 0.012 µg/l to 1.538 µg/l (groundwater), not yet exceeding the Vietnamese standards.

This study aims at determining the distribution of cadmium content in the environment in order to propose solutions for essentially diminishing and preventing environmental pollution.
