The topography of coastal areas in Quảng Ngãi - Quy Nhơn is classified from tectonic-geomorphology point of view. Genesis
creating terrains was analyzed in order to indừectly detect tectonic activity. According to
research data, they are divided into 06 groups of genesis as follows:
Topography due to volcanic activity; The topography due to denudation activity;
The topography due to the river activity; The topography due to the sea
activity; Topography due to mixed sea-river activity; The terrain due to human
activities. Apart from volcanic activity that is directly endogenous movement,
other activities is of exogenous movement, however following indirect movements
reflect endogenous impact on the terrain: leveled surfaces, surface of river
shelf, seabed, or a mixture of river-sea sediments. And they are fragmentated, displacemented and
distributed at different heights. The morphology of coastline is consisted in 3
types: corroded coasline, accumulated coastline; and eroded coastline. They are not
only influenced by exogenous activity but also by the endogenous activity in
the Neotectonic period and Active tectonic.
